Genever Islay Cask Finish

Produced by Wenneker, one of the most renowned ancient genever distilleries in the Netherlands, this distillate is absolutely excellent when drunk as smoothly as it is blended. Don’t be afraid to experiment with genever cocktails because an excellent result is guaranteed! Islay Cask Finish takes its golden colour from ageing in Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky barrels. The properties of the different wood barrels can give each batch slightly different organoleptic characteristics, but this does not affect the basic features of the final result. This genever has the typical flavour of its malt and wheat base, but this is sublimated by the toasted and freshly smoked notes given by the ageing process, which are also freshly sweet and citrusy. The finish is delicate, with spicy and slightly sweet and toasted notes. Each batch and bottle number is always marked by hand on the label, as well as its month and year of production.
